Bundles, gift sets, and mystery assortments
A multi-item package is easiest to evaluate when its minimum contents, eligible categories, sizes, and return rules are explicit. Surprise can be part of the experience without making the basic value unknowable.
Value the guaranteed contents
Start with the items or categories the seller guarantees, not the best possible example. Use realistic current prices for products the buyer would actually use. Do not assign full value to duplicates, samples, or unwanted sizes.
Check compatibility and duplication
Confirm sizes, shades, device compatibility, scent concentration, accessory fit, duplicate policy, and whether substitutions are allowed. The broader the substitution right, the more important a clear minimum becomes.
Read the package-level return rule
Some bundles require every item to be returned together; others exclude opened or personalized components. Know whether a missing, damaged, or unsuitable item can be addressed individually.
